Website for LG Caring Homecare Provider Using WIX
LG Caring are a Domiciliary and Homecare provider offering a range of services such as dementia care, elderly care and general homecare in the Halifax, Huddersfield and Calderdale areas of West Yorkshire.
LG Caring are a new business and had a requirement for a basic website to advertise their key care services into their local area. They also wanted the ability to update and grow the website themselves going forward using a wysiwyg approach.
For these reasons, the WIX online website builder was chosen to build the website as opposed to hand coding a site from scratch.

Keyword Research, Search Engine Advice, and Call to Actions
Before commencing the project, time was spent with the business owner explaining how search engines such as Google and Bing work, and therefore how important keyword research is before building a website. The importance of clear page Call to Actions was also discussed together with what these could be.
Time was also spent discussing the range of services LG Caring were able to offer, and into which local areas. After this initial session, the next step was to perform some basic keyword research and produce an optimum site structure to support the words and phrases LG Caring customers were searching for.
The structure was reviewed and agreed with the client before work commenced on building the site.
As part of these sessions, advice was also given on how to grow LG Caring's online business footprint, including creating a Google My Business page and pages on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. These pages were then linked back to the new website to help with indexing and get those all important back links.
Building the Website Using WIX
The next phase of this project was to build the website using WIX, a wysiwyg website building platform. The first step was to agree and define the theme including the font, colours, button styles etc, after which the Header and Footer templates were created (to be re-used on each page).
A good website benefits from good photography - this build uses images selected by the client from iStock photos. They may cost a little more money, but once purchased you can use them to good effect throughout the website.
The initial site pages were built using placeholder images and Lorem Ipsum (an alternative Lorem Ipsum generator is (website planet) . This approach allowed tweaks to be made to the site layout prior to the client adding content based on earlier keyword research.
With the site structure agreed and the content added, the final step was to press the Publish button!
